He has been in our family since before she had all her feathers he belonged to my mother who has since passed away. Bette Joe obviously was named before we knew her sex, but you can call him Jo. I’m the only one left in my family now and I have Bette Joe unfortunately I’m a senior and Bette Joe’s gonna weigh outlive me since you’ll live till about 80. Joe has never been sick a day in her life. She has never plucked. She’s a happy bird. She will let you know when she’s bored she likes to go for walks. She likes to be able to get on the ground and look around and packet things she likes to be on you rather than on a stick. She she sings a little. She has a pretty good vocabulary when she wants to use it. She’s not allowed bird you don’t have to cover her at night at bedtime. She goes to sleep. She loves toast in the morning. She loves scrambled eggs and corn on the cob and grapes and berries every night she gets apples and you know just a Smog bar of good things for her to eat, she’s funny about things that if it looks different or maybe if she’s somewhere different, she might might take her some time to get used to new surroundings because again she’s been in our family for 30 years anyway there’s only one of me here and she would so do better in a family atmosphere where there’s a lot going on cause she loves that she loves to play in my cats tower. She likes paper bags of course she likes cardboard. You know she loves her seeds. Of course she’s she’s as healthy as they come. She’s a beautiful specimen of a yellow nap. she loves her baths outside with the hose on mist. She’ll just put her wings up and turn around and you know just oh she just loves it .
